What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa de Jarugo is a stunning, expansive sandy beach praised for its dramatic beauty and excellent surfing conditions. Visitors love its natural, undeveloped feel and the freedom it offers, especially for dogs. However, the challenging access road and powerful, potentially dangerous rip currents mean it's best suited for experienced surfers or those who appreciate its wild charm from a safe distance.
"Big beautiful sandy beach just outside of Tindaya. There are plenty of places to park, although the road to it is just a very bumpy dirt track road so much so that I thought our car was gonna fall apart.
Not sure if it's a great place for children as the rip tide is pretty strong & this is an unmanned beach with no life guards. Still a great place to visit."

"My favorite of the island. The waves are strong and ideal for surfing. There are small sheltered spaces if you want to stay on the beach. Some people make barbecues so it can smell a little. Also ideal for people with dogs as they can play everywhere on the beach."
