"Great beach in the center of Cadiz. Enjoying our stay here today."

"Not sure how typical it is there, but during our 2 days in Cadiz, water in La Caleta was very turbid (likely due to heavy rain in Andalucia couple days before our arrival). Also loads of seaweed😬 You find much better conditions on the south side of the walkway to the fortress. It has access to open Atlantic and water there is much clearer, but swimming conditions are harder due to higher waves. If you just want to play on the sand - it's a place for you, although we visited pre season and I can see it getting very crowded. Big parkings are available nearby, but be prepared for them to be full or if you get lucky, to dig deep into your pockets - 15€/day seems to be cheap in Cadiz😬"
