Reviews Summary

Playa de los Genoveses is praised for its vast, beautiful golden sands and stunning natural setting within Cabo de Gata. Visitors appreciate the potential for wildflower blooms after rain and the scenic hiking opportunities. However, some find the parking fees and muddy access roads inconvenient, and the strong sea currents can limit swimming enjoyment.

"Nice beach, very very long ao there's always enough place near the water. There were a lot of waves so we couldn't really understand how nice the sea is. There was a lot of current though, the waves were arriving from multiple directions and there was a yellow flag so...we couldn't really enjoy the water. Moreover the parking place cost 6€, without even having seen the sea. We had to park by the restaurant, which means you have to walk about 10-15 minutes. In my opinion a cute beach, but nothing special, we saw far better beaches around there."

"Beautiful beach! Only down side is that it’s not that accessible with public transport. You could take the bus to San José and walk to the beach (35 min) 🏖️"

hanna van der sluis

"It is indeed a beautiful beach, big waves and awesome, but there's plenty of people with dogs. And these dogs likely to leave surprises - just look where you step."
