Reviews Summary

Playa del Matorral is widely praised for its immense size, clean golden sands, and clear turquoise waters, offering a relaxing escape even during busy periods. Visitors appreciate the proximity to Morro Jable's amenities and the picturesque Jandía Lighthouse, though caution is advised regarding occasional strong waves and currents.

"This is a beautiful spacious beach. Although it’s in the city, it doesn’t feel like it due to the amount of space there is. The waves are huge at times though and there can be sneaker waves (that put all of our belongings in the water) and currents so be careful."

Noemi

"We stopped by Playa del Matorral on our way to Cofete Beach and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a lovely, long, and wide beach located right next to the town of Morro Jable. Thanks to its size, there’s plenty of room for everyone to relax, even during busier times.

The golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters make it a perfect spot for sunbathing and swimming. The beach stretches for about 4 kilometers, so you’ll never feel cramped here. It’s also well-kept and has been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness and quality.

All along the promenade, there are loads of cafés, restaurants, and small shops where you can grab a bite, a coffee, or even do some shopping. Whether you’re after a chill beach day or just a short stop to take in the view, this place is definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our short visit – it’s got a relaxed vibe, easy access, and all the amenities you need nearby."

Otakar Klika

"Very clean, relaxing and hardly saturated for being mid-august.
Most important, been here twice and not windy as the rest of the island."
