What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aguamar Water Park offers a decent few hours of fun, particularly for families with younger children, with many appreciating the dedicated kids' areas and the affordability of afternoon passes. However, some visitors find the park dated, with limited adult slides and a lack of amenities like loungers and varied food options, leading to mixed reviews on value for money.
"Water park was easy enough to find and had enough to keep the kids busy for a few hours. Pay for day pass in reception. There are plenty of life guards around (some more focused on their phones than the guests) food and drink wise if you haven't paid the extra and are from outside the hotel all you have is vending machines. Not the cheapest but you can stay from 1030 till 1800 on a day ticket or 1400 till 1800 on an afternoon pass."

"Brilliant for a few hours especially for younger kids!!
We went after 2pm so it was cheaper! That gave us 2-6 and we didn't need all that time! Our 5, 13, and 15 year old all had fun. But bigger slides are minimal. However still very enjoyed. Queue time for slides was minimal.
I do recommend you take drinks and snacks!!!"

"The waterpark came included with our stay at TUI Blue Aura. We found it great, plenty of slides to go on and lots for little ones."

Navigating Aguamar Water Park with Kids
However, it's worth noting that some of the shorter slides are designated 'kids only,' which can be a point of contention if adults wish to ride with their children. Despite this, the overall consensus is that the park provides a good few hours of entertainment for the whole family. The affordability of the afternoon pass also makes it an attractive option for families looking to manage their holiday budget.
When planning your visit, remember to pack plenty of snacks and drinks, as on-site options are limited to vending machines. This is a common tip shared by visitors to ensure everyone stays refreshed and energized throughout the day.
Value and Expectations at Aguamar Water Park
Reviews mention that the park can feel 'old and dirty' to some, with issues like slippery tiles and poorly maintained toilets. The lack of sun loungers and the limited food and drink options also contribute to a less-than-ideal experience for some visitors. It's important to manage expectations: this is not a sprawling, high-thrill water park, but rather a more compact facility focused on family fun.
For those who approach it with realistic expectations, especially by taking advantage of the cheaper afternoon pass and bringing their own provisions, Aguamar Water Park can still offer a pleasant experience. The key seems to be understanding its limitations and focusing on the enjoyment it provides for its target audience, primarily families with younger children.
The History and Vibe of Aguamar
While the nighttime access might be a thing of the past, the water park's association with a renowned club hints at a lively atmosphere. Today, it operates primarily as a daytime family attraction. However, the spirit of fun and entertainment that defined its origins likely still permeates the park, offering a refreshing escape from the Balearic sun.
The mention of Aguamar Apartments in Tenerife in one reel suggests that the 'Aguamar' name might be associated with water-themed accommodations or attractions across different locations, though the Playa d'en Bossa water park is a distinct entity.
