What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the Museu de Reus Archaeology Salvador Vilaseca for its free admission and engaging exhibitions, particularly those dedicated to artist Marià Fortuny and the archaeological collections. However, some reviews note limitations in exhibition space, meaning not all of the museum's holdings are consistently on display, and suggest improvements in presentation elements like lighting and signage.
"Visiting to see an exhibition dedicated to the painter Marià Fortuny from Reus. Congratulations on the explanations of the guided tour."
Jordi Romero
"The Reus Museum is a key institution in the cultural life of the city. However, more resources are clearly needed for it to function as an optimal space for cultural dissemination, to separate prehistory and modern/contemporary art and to provide more space to exhibit the collection (they have a very interesting photographic collection but it is not exhibited in its entirety), as well as the collection of posters from the Civil War or Fortuny's paintings. I give it two stars for the lack of good lighting and basic elements such as posters or texts. The blackboards are completely covered with red and green stickers... If they want to know the opinion of visitors, there are other ways without invading a space that should be an exhibition."
Darío Cobacho Velasco
"An interesting museum with free admission. The ground floor displays a variety of objects donated to the museum, giving it a truly unique look. The upper floor houses remains from the Cave Art, Iberian, and Roman cultures."
