"What a pleasant surprise! I didn’t know what to expect as Finca Descalzos Viejo is an old monastery converted into a winery 25 years ago and the wines of Ronda are up and coming.
Our guide, Merilin was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about their wines. The winery itself is small, producing about 35,000 bottles a year.
I prefer red wines to white. Their white was good and though, both reds were excellent. The 2015 warned up and paired well with cheese and local sausages. Really delicious and well worth the visit."
