What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Sa Tafona for its authentic Mallorquín heritage and the passionate hospitality of the family owners. The olive oil production tour and tasting are highlighted as deeply informative and delicious experiences, with many recommending purchasing products directly from the estate. Some minor points of feedback relate to the rural location requiring transport arrangements.
"I can’t recommend this experience enough! Great history, proudly passionate and really welcoming ..
I contacted last minute but they arranged a great private tour that included a video (in english), a walk around the machinery and storage area and a tasting at the end. Tomeu was really nice, had a lot of information and was flexible as we had some dietary restrictions and he immediately arranged something suitable (olive oil of course.. delicious and fresh orange juice, bread, marmalade, vegetables and amazing almond cake!) . The estate was beautiful and maintained their family heritage! I wish them the best.. thank you!
I recommend you to book in advance and to opt for the private tour in order to have an intimate and personalized experience. You’ll get the chance to interact directly with the family and learn in depth about the estate’s history, traditions, and olive oil production."

"We had the pleasure of visiting this location twice, once in 2015 and again in 2025. It was truly a wonderful experience. The owner was exceptionally kind and provided a detailed explanation of the olive oil production process. Furthermore, he offered a comprehensive overview of the island's history, agriculture, economy, and natural environment. To conclude the visit, everyone was invited to sample olive oil accompanied by cheese, bread, and ham. He also generously offered wine and orange juice. It was an excellent experience."

"Great experience from the visit to traditional Mallorquín house that owns its small olive oil factory. Let Tomeu the owner guide you through the story of his family and don’t loose the opportunity to buy a divine olive oil from direct producer!"
