What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
San José Beach is praised for its clear waters, clean sand, and family-friendly environment, with convenient free parking and numerous dining options. Some visitors noted litter in the water during busy periods, but overall, it's considered a great spot for relaxation and enjoyment.
"Amazing beach with clear water. There’s free parking"
Rodrigo Curi
"We were here during a pretty sleepy period, tourist-wise, but the town is lovely by modern Spanish standards, and the beach is great; some dramatic rocks one side where the houses are right on the shallow cliffs, and broad and sandy in the main, surveyed by the harbour/docks on the left as you look out to sea. We were on the hunt for some tasty food and washed up on one of the tables outside Mesón el Pescador, where the service was super quick and the food satisfyingly delicious. There were a few hardy souls taking in the early May sunshine on the beach and a few doggos enjoying themselves, with the beach clean and tidy for the most part. With future trips planned to Alméria, we'll definitely be back again."

"Lively town with a great atmosphere. Water has a fair bitter of litter in it but it is a busy beach."
