Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the monastery's unique Mozarabic architecture and peaceful atmosphere, calling it a historical gem. However, some have experienced issues with inconsistent opening hours and a lack of English information, which can detract from the visit.

"The lady sold us 3 euro tickets which were supposed to be for a guided tour (visit without a guide is 2 euro),but the only thing she did was open the monastery since we were the first visitors of the day (at 12:30) and given a leaflet in Spanish. She does not speak English, nor is there information about the monastery in English. There are some panels about the current renovations in English to be fair, however,it does not tell you much. Probably not worth the trip."

Kristyna B

"I seldom post reviews but the way we have been treated at this place was unworthy for any place worth visiting, anywhere. Very unrespectfully treated by the woman who was responsible and arrived 30 minutes later than advertised. Instead of a welcome we got a lecture for no good reason at all in the most unwelcoming tone she could muster. The building is nice, better let it speak for itself!"

Kris Verhoye

"Really interesting and historical. Lovely building, architecture and views. Very peaceful."
