What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Platja de les Barques is praised for its tranquil atmosphere and easy train access from Barcelona, offering a peaceful escape. However, some visitors have noted concerns about cleanliness, with reports of mice, and a lack of amenities directly on the beach. It's recommended for those seeking a quieter experience, especially outside peak season.
"The most horrible experience in my entire life.
We saw 10+ dead mice on the beach right next to the shore. They are fully pumped with water. Still, some people sleep on the beach near them.
On the street next to the train station, mice are running around. For real, there are at least 10 again. We immediately left the city right away after all these.
You shouldn't come!!!
Zoom in the photo if you dare."

"Went here both during the day and after sun set.
Crowded during the day and super chill in the evening."

"Absolutely gorgeous. It can be tricky to park as the city itself is quite small, and i imagine in season it can be crowded. In october it was awesome, we were almost alone on the beach. The downside is there are no coffees around, one is not far but there is nothing on the beach itself.
If you like to be alone, of you dont mind to drive ans walk a bit to the beach and if you fancy driving in tiny roads, go for it!"
