We had the fish croquettes and salmon maki rolls to start and they were excellent - highly recommended .
For main course we ordered the grilled seafood platter - it is their most expensive dish but we really wanted to try the mixed seafood . Sadly it was very disappointing . It looked impressive when it turned up , but failed
To live up to expectations .The good bits were the razor clams and prawns , freshly cooked and very tasty . The queen scallops were freshly cooked but overdone and chewy . The mussels and clams were cold , and the lobster was obviously a pre cooked one that was reheated under the grill - very dry and tough . You’ll see in the picture that it was served she’ll side up -
This should’ve been a give away .
With hindsight , we should’ve sent it back, but we left the lobster til last and we’d had a great first day and didn’t want to spoil it .
We thought we were on a safe bet picking a signature dish from the menu , but it was probably the worst seafood platter we have ever had - shame .
Oh and the chips were good ….
