What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Parque de la Remonta is praised for its beautiful natural setting and the unique spectacle of cattle egrets at sunset. Visitors appreciate the peaceful green space and the flat bike path. However, some feel it's underutilized and lacks amenities like shaded seating, leading to a sense of neglect despite its potential.
"A park with many potentials, but it's remained a mere wishful thinking. It's utterly underutilized. It only has a paved path with a bike lane, streetlights, a pond you can't get too close to, and... that's all. The surrounding weeds, overgrown enough to maintain the ecosystem, gave the park a sense of neglect. It's not worth visiting unless you live there. There's no parking; you have to leave your car in the nearby Dr. Morales (Vacuna) Park."

"Beautiful green space on the outskirts of Santander.
It has a very flat bike path and some benches.
The lake is beautiful, but there's a lot of vegetation and you can't see it well (although that adds to its charm).
As a green space, it could be much more useful. At the very least, add some benches where you can rest in the shade.
For nature, a ten.
For city management, a zero."

"An outrage. An example of the concrete culture we've suffered for decades in the city of #Santander. Laying concrete in the green areas, barely planting a single tree, thousands of square meters wasted. Concrete benches and a single fountain in the entire park. A park with almost infinite potential that should be entirely handed over to the city."
