Reviews Summary

The Call Jueu Tortosa offers a glimpse into a rich medieval past with its preserved street layout and historic gates. However, many visitors note the significant neglect and disrepair of buildings, leading to a mixed experience. While some appreciate the authentic atmosphere, others are disappointed by the lack of upkeep and amenities.

"The Jewish Quarter was one of the places we planned to visit in this town. We parked near the tourist office and gathered information. The Jewish Quarter wasn't far away, so we walked there. We toured the Jewish Quarter, which still preserves part of the wall almost intact, its narrow white alleys seem to transport you back in time. However, its most emblematic buildings, such as the synagogue, the bakery, and the butcher shop, have not been preserved. Highlights of the visit, during which we took photos, were the Jewish Gate and the Plaza de la Figuereta."

Lluis Higini Melero Peris

"Very well preserved overall, the street layout and its entire length are complete, both the old and new Jewish quarters are well signposted for further exploration. The narrow streets and small squares transport you back in time. Just to mention that many houses are in ruins and are in danger of collapsing."

Peser

"It is not a place for tourism, its streets and houses are very neglected in every sense, it is a town that lacks nice and pleasant places to have a drink, I only looked at 3, it is a town that I do not recommend going to, because you do not miss anything interesting."
