"A place that recalls Sant Miquel dels Sants, patron saint of the city of Vic. They say that when he was eight or nine years old, little Miquel rolled naked in a thorn bush and came out without any injury. It is not known if this rolling was unique or repeated on other occasions. In any case, the people who testified in the taking of documentation for his beatification do agree on the place where this happened. They all located this heroism, and in fact miracle, in the vineyards that his father had at the foot of Puig dels Jueus, right next to the Guillem de Mont-rodon school, and where today this small oratory, called Sant Miquel Xic, stands. The location has always been a source of controversy due to its lamentable state. In 1853, Dr. Salarich was already alarmed and complained: “near this city it was turning into a bramble, as attested by a monument that is about to disappear”. The following year he insisted but without success. Some time after his canonization and thanks to the efforts of the Círcol Literari and/or the newspaper El Ausonense, the restoration of the damaged monument was able to be celebrated. On May 18, 1862, the newspaper held a collection to restore the oratory, which was in a deplorable state. In 1991, another author wrote that “by the way, Vic has forgotten this place, due to the poor conservation it is in”. A photograph from 2014 and one from 2019 are attached to this review. Sadly, despite being the patron saint of Vic, this place remains forgotten."
