Reviews Summary

Reviews for Ermitas de los Remedios highlight their spiritual significance and scenic beauty, often praised for their peaceful atmosphere and historical charm. However, some visitors note issues with exterior maintenance and limited accessibility, wishing for more consistent opening hours and better upkeep.

"The Lizard of the Virgin of Remedies

The Church of the Virgin of Remedies is an important pilgrimage site in Zamora. Inside, there is an image of the Virgin that, according to legend, is protected by a lizard.

The story goes that one day, a group of pilgrims was heading to the Church of the Virgin of Remedies. Suddenly, a lizard appeared in their path and blocked their way.

The pilgrims were frightened and thought the lizard was a demon. However, the Virgin appeared to the pilgrims and told them that the lizard was their protector.

Since then, the lizard has become a symbol of the Virgin of Remedies. It is said that the lizard protects the church and the pilgrims who visit it.

This legend is very interesting because it tells a story of faith and protection. The lizard is a symbol of the Virgin of Remedies, who protects her faithful from danger."

MARIA JOSE

"This is a chapel attached to a school that no longer exists. The chapel has been restored, but it's closed year-round, and its maintenance and pruning of vegetation are poor. There's much more to discover in Zamora."

Alfonso González

"I value the chapel very highly, but at the moment, its exterior maintenance is lacking and visually unpleasant, to put it mildly, "the house needs sweeping." I hope to write another review soon praising its virtues after a thorough cleaning, but for now, I'll have to share what's there."
