Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Geopark Boat Tour Zumaia for its exceptional educational value and stunning natural beauty. Guides are frequently commended for their informative and engaging explanations of the unique Flysch formations and geological history. While the sea can be rough at times, the overall experience is highly recommended for its scenic coastal views and deep dive into Earth's past.
"Excellent guided tour by Ainhoa who explained in plain English ( with nice Basque accent!) the complex, geological sedimentary rock formations that make up this geopark of international importance. Yes they are layers formed over 50 million years ago that look like the pages of a book. It was like I was back in my geology class learning about the ammonite fossils & the German origins of the word flysch !
The route itself lasts about 1.5 hours and goes to Sakoneta Beach close to Deba. We did it on a really calm day but still the sea was a bit rough at times so if you easily get seasick, focus on the horizon.
It's very educational as well as a beautiful, boat ride along a coast of outstanding natural beauty so I can highly recommend it."

"We took the 3 hour tour to Mutriku. The hour there was about the history of the area and the hour back was about the geology of the Flysch. We were in Mutriku for an hour. Lots of information and gorgeous views. The tour was for Spanish speakers with no interpretation."

"Extremely informative trip. Excellent guide and crew. Everything is perfectly organised. The protection of the environment is one of their missions. I strongly recommend them."
