"I visited this historical Hindu temple recently. It’s very impressive temple it really is a must see in Colombo. This is the oldest Hindu Temple (Kovil) in Colombo and the main god of this temple is Shiva and Ganesh. It’s said that this Kovil has been been built by a group of south Indian traders. The beautiful paintings, and detailed artwork, especially in the ceiling, are very impressive. I noticed that pilgrims visiting this Kovil are not solely Hindus, but people of other religions and faiths also make visits to this Hindu temple.
You can feel the energy and aura around the place especially when you hear and see the puja performed by a priest."
