"Akurala beach, located in Hikkaduwa is a beach on beach paradise. The sandy shores, immaculate reefs and clear water present a perfect beach experience. The seas run slow, and the dive is shallow, making it a swimmer’s delight.
Fisherfolk have stalls selling freshly cooked fish marinated in masalas that are an ode to Sri Lanka as well as their infamous dried fish. Seafood is part of their staples and a holiday in Akurala promises coastal gala at the tip of your fingers. Water adventures and nature walks are the attractions that make Akurala special.
