"It is an iconic building located in centre of the city and one of the oldest post offices in Sri Lanka. It is Tudor style and 2 storeys red brick building. It has a lovely clock tower and was constructed in 1890s by the British. It is popular place with tourists and locals. There are bench/table in the lawns where you can have a picnic if the weather is cooler. You can buy stamps and post mail here to have a record of your visit. It is still functioning as a post office today"
