"Rough during the Monsoons
Early in the morning on 22nd February 2020, my wife and I walked along the beach from our hotel, Jetwing Surf, upto Pottuvil Point. It was clean and almost deserted at that time in the morning. We watched the sun rise in the eastern sky. The sea, however was rough during this monsoon season and the beach, in some areas, had been eroded eaten away by the sea. We had to veer inwards from the shore at such places. The fishing boats too had been moored high up on the shore as no fishing is possible due to the rough seas.
Pottuvil point is a beautiful location with waves dashing against the rocks that had green moss attached.
The area is crowded with tourists during the surfing season as Pottuvil point is a great surfing point."
