What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking views from World's End and the serene beauty of Horton Plains National Park. The challenging yet rewarding hike through diverse landscapes is a highlight, though the unpredictable mist can sometimes obscure the vistas. Planning an early morning visit is key for the best experience.
"A key place of interest located at one of the borders of the Horton Plains. Weather permitting, the visitors can enjoy a view as far as Southern Coast. Visit during early morning almost guarantee a clear uninterrupted view, but if you are not bothered of the view the time of visit not an issue really. Bright sunshine always guarantee a great experience at the drop. Either you get a view or a feeling of among the clouds when you are surrounded by the mist. Highly recommended to visit at least once. There are many other similar drops/viewpoints around the country which are easier to access and provide better vibes and views. However this one is special due to its unique location - designated national park and a UNESCO world heritage site, elevation above 2,000m, cool weather, abundant wildlife. Plan your visit to allow sufficient time to rest here while enjoying the views and nature."

"You will need to walk a total of nine kilometres, which includes both downhill and uphill sections through the forest. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a raincoat, as it can rain unexpectedly with heavy winds; umbrellas are not effective in these conditions. Additionally, bring at least one litre of water per person. I recommend starting from the left entrance, as this route has more downhill sections and less uphill."

"You know what they say? The feeling and experience should be felt . Words can't explain about what we saw and how we felt by looking at the stunning scenery. 14KM of trekking through Horton plains . We started from left side and walk towards the mini world end ,then world end and the waterfall. We were a mixture of family ranging from kids to 45 years old. It was challenging and fun trekking the place."
