Reviews Summary

Yala National Park is a highly sought-after wildlife destination, celebrated for its incredible leopard sightings and abundant elephant herds. Visitors praise the park's diverse landscapes and the thrill of seeing animals in their natural habitat. However, some find the road network can limit visibility, and the park can get quite dusty and crowded during peak times.

"Overall, the park is very beautiful. But for my taste, too many of the roads are placed directly through the jungle, so you cannot see very far. Good, if you are looking for all the smaller animals, like all sorts of birds, Mungos, Cormorans, Deers, Peacocks etc. We did see like 15 different species incl. a sleepy Leopard but no Elephants. But you can't be lucky all the time. 😉"

Bastian Dobbertin

"A truly unique adventure and my very first safari! Safaris are always about luck since animals live freely and often hide from the noise of vehicles, but we got super lucky. We spotted plenty of monkeys, deer, crocodiles, peacocks, oxen, lots of birds, smaller animals, and even half of a leopard’s body 😂

If I get the chance to go on safari again, I’d definitely wear UV-protection sleeves, and I noticed some people wore masks because of the sand. Be prepared to get completely dusty and dirty from the drive, don’t plan on wearing those clothes again during your trip!"

Margo Sukhytska

"Had a nice safari experience here. The driver kept us explaining about the parts, flora and fauna of the park. The park is endowed with elephants, leopards, birds and a wide varieties of other animals. Unluckily we weren't able to spot any leopard but we're lucky to enough to capture other animals and birds in the natural habitat."
