Reviews Summary
Shambat Bridge is widely appreciated as a tranquil recreational spot, especially for its refreshing morning atmosphere and scenic Nile views. Visitors enjoy it for jogging and peaceful strolls, finding it a perfect escape. However, some may find the lack of amenities and the potential for crowds during peak times to be minor drawbacks.
"Common site for jogging"
Mohammed Makki
"After the country's independence in 1956, during the presidency of Lieutenant General Ibrahim Abboud, the Sudanese government signed an agreement with an Italian company to construct a bridge linking Omdurman (Al-Malazemin neighborhood) and Bahri (Shambat neighborhood). This agreement was signed in 1962. Work began on the bridge, which was completed in 1966.
Another version states that the bridge was built during the British occupation of Sudan between 1924 and 1926.
I have not verified the validity of either version."

"It is a purely recreational site, according to my personal experience, and when I want tranquility, it is my refuge, especially in the morning with the chirping of birds, the sounds of water, and the smell of water mixed with grass and some local natural plants. Wow, it is a special state of renewed euphoria and hysteria without similarity 😍"
