What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking architecture and immense scale of St. Peter's Basilica, calling it a must-see in Rome. The free entry is a significant plus, though many note the strict dress code and potential for long queues. The dome climb is highly recommended for its views, despite the physical effort required.
"Inside of the church looks well-maintained. It’s accessible to anyone (usually 9-13H) for free, but you can also donate small amount of cash that goes to church maintenance. There’s a dress code as mentioned also by other reviewers previously. They also have a small shop inside where you can buy rosaries, bible, candle, bracelets, postcards, etc."
Mishel Valery Ranada
"While walking around downtown Paramaribo, we visited this location. This is an impressive cathedral. It is the tallest and largest wooden church in the area. Work has been done to this building to restore it. We saw one side of this building is still being worked on. Interesting place to visit and to see this historic cathedral."
JEM
"The largest wooden church in South America, just a beautiful architectural design. The entire is very simple, yet incredible!"
