"This is one of the landmarks in Karlstad, the old stone bridge, spanning one of the forks of Klarälven (The clear river translated from Swedish, but how it got that name is a mystery, since it's rarely clear,) and an obvious place to visit. The small island downstream from the bridge, formed naturally after the bridge was built, due to the reduced current - the bridge partially blocks the stream. It is a lovely walk along the banks, where you cross the river by this bridge."
