Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Björnön Nature Reserve's stunning natural beauty, well-maintained trails, and accessible beaches. The ample facilities like toilets and camping spots are a significant plus. However, the distance from the bus stop and the lack of on-site food services are noted drawbacks.
"Perfection!
Apart from the distance from the bus stop to the entrance.
It has different track with variety of length and elevation.
Always a good view everywhere.
A clear path mark to anyone with less sense of direction.
Plenty of toilet along the path, first time I see in naturreservat, and they are quite well maintain!
Plenty spots for camping and there are cabin to rents.
Love it!"

"This is a great nature-oriented day trip from Stockholm. We rode the bus from Slussen (which is a pain in 2025 due to construction) and were dropped off about 10 minutes' walk from the park entrance. There is good clear signage and the trails are in good shape. The first portion is along a paved road with occasional cars, but the majority of the walking/hiking is through forested areas. There's a great mix of scenery - don't miss climbing the overlook! I can imagine the beach being busy but it was rather cool and grey when we were there - still a beautiful area and free to use. We packed a picnic lunch, as there is nowhere to get food within the reserve. There are plenty of benches along the trail to snack with a great view!"

"Beautiful nature reserve just thirty minutes outside central Stockholm. They have designated camping sites, with outhouses and water pumps. The water isn't regulated but I drank it and had no issues. There is a kayaking/canoe rental nearby so you can get out on the Baltic as well and visit the nearby Islands. A lookout tower is also near the campsite. They have hiking trails and a beautiful 3.5km loop for tail running. I can recommend this area if you're looking for a weekend camping site."
