"Our group went ice skating in Sweden for the first time. The communication beforehand with the rental company (Martin) was very good, as was the equipment; it was like new. You should definitely bring skating skates. They're great for skating on the lakes. There are always three to four groomed slopes (3-10 km each) on Lake Runn, which you can skate on practically any time. We had perfect ice weather, usually just below zero degrees and no snow on the ice. It's also very easy to do on the lake, as long as you know the dangerous spots. To get started, we took a guided tour with local guides Christian and Craig; they were arranged for us by the rental company. This guided tour is highly recommended, especially for first-timers. It doesn't matter what your level is; Christian and Craig find the right thing for everyone. We had a wonderful day with them; we discovered other slopes and lakes, learned technique, ice knowledge, and gave us tourist tips. It was a great introduction to ice skating. We'll definitely be back. The only uncertain thing is the weather. We can only hope and be lucky."
