"It started badly when I tried to book a single room via the hotel's web site. Unless I added various packs I was unable to continue the booking process. So I phoned the hotel and told them what the problem was and wondered if I could book a single room by phone. I was told they had no single rooms and I was offered a double for 2500 SEK. So I went to Booking.com and found a single room for 900 SEK less. Once checking in, I asked for explanations but received none, only being told the price I paid via Booking was extraordinarily low. The room was really small but had all you need as an avid traveler on his 16th hotel night in a row. Breakfast was up to the star rating. Overall, the experience was not really positive and value for money was on the low side. There appears to be room for improvements in the administrative routines beyond boasting this is Sweden's oldest hotel opening in 1829..."
