What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Kebnekaise Mountain Station for its stunning location, excellent facilities like saunas and drying rooms, and the relaxed, communal atmosphere. The food is generally well-regarded, though booking dinner is essential. Some guests note potential discrepancies in STF pricing for day passes.
"Stayed in a tent so can't say much about the rooms but the atmosphere is so chilled - the facilities are great - but then again after 100+killometers all real toilets would seem incredible!
The shared kitchen was easy to navigate. Great location - just shame I missed seeing the northern lights... Apparently they don't wake you up for it 🤣"
Itai Yechezkel
"I did camping there, so I can't say anything about the rooms. However, it's a very nice and clean place for being highly trafficked by the hikers. The service attitude is very good. You can buy breakfast to a decent price even if you don't stay at the hotel. However, for dinner, you should book in advance or you may risk not be accommodated."
Måsen
"The cabins have a good infrastructure with running water and electricity. They encourage you to become a STF member so you can get access to the service area for a small fee. In the service area you have access to the kitchen, the showers and the sauna. Depending on the season it might be crowded and difficult to find a good spot if you bring your tent. They offer you guided tours to Kebnekaise and even renting the gear if you need."
