Nature day trips from Copenhagen?

Hi, been living here for almost 6 years. Would love to drive somewhere out in nature today, but I’ve done all the usual suspects several times (dyrehaven, møns/stevns klint, the blue water lake, Gribskov etc.) Any lesser-known, jaw-dropping places? Lol Thank you!! — Edit:…

Reviews Summary

Dalby Söderskog National Park is cherished for its deep, ancient beech forest and serene atmosphere, offering a peaceful escape. Visitors love the tranquil meadow for picnics and the beautiful spring blooms. However, some find the park a bit small and lacking in varied attractions or amenities like benches.

"Very beautiful place, full of peace and quiet. I did 2 circuits, had a picnic in the meadow, listened to the sound of birds. Thank you very much for your work !!!!!"

Jakub Kracík

"I visited Dalby Söndra National Park and honestly found it underwhelming. It’s a very quiet area with not many people around, which could be nice if you’re looking for solitude—but it also felt a bit lifeless.

The park is mostly just forest—standard woodland with nothing particularly unique or scenic to see. There are no standout views, interesting landmarks, or wildlife encounters to speak of. It felt more like a basic walking area than a national park.

The main loop trail is quite short; I completed the entire route in about 40 minutes at a relaxed pace. There weren’t any benches or places to sit along the way, which made the walk feel less inviting. Overall, it was okay, but quite boring. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to visit unless you live nearby and just want a short walk in the woods."
