Some find the steep steps challenging but ultimately rewarding, with a few suggesting alternative routes for families with young children.
"The gorge is a wonderful experience, especially after rain when it has a magical atmosphere. We really enjoyed the walk through. Just keep in mind to wear proper shoes – it can get slippery. If you’re visiting with small children, I’d recommend taking the asphalt road back instead of the forest path, which is very steep and can be dangerous when wet. Definitely worth a visit!"

"The best 9 chf I have spent in Switzerland for sure. The lady at the ticket counter was friendly and eager to support you with anything, especially that she can speak English so I have no issue with communication. Moving inside from the entrance, you can feel the blowing wind from the waterfall, surrounded by the beautiful green scenery that immediately brings you the peaceful vibe needed after a long weekday working hard. What makes this place unique is the stair going up and seems to be forever, because you can’t see the end of it. If you by any chance visit Martigny, don’t hesitate to take the train to Bovernier and check this place out!"
