Reviews Summary

The Rigidalstock Via Ferrata is highly recommended for its thrilling climb and spectacular summit views, offering a rewarding experience for intermediate adventurers. While some sections can be challenging, especially for beginners, the well-maintained routes and accessible gear rental make it a popular choice. Visitors appreciate the stunning alpine scenery and the option to combine it with other local attractions.

"Did the Brunnistöckli via ferrata as a beginner on a slightly cloudy/foggy day, preceded by multiple days of rain. Some parts were indeed a little slippery - which could be avoided with drier weather - but not at all unmanageable.

The parts that constituted climbing up along jagged rocks were especially fun, but also slightly more challenging than I had expected.

Important to wear appropriate shoes (I wore hiking shoes with good tread). I didn’t use my gloves, but could be a good idea. Equipment can be rented at the Kräuterhütte (top of the chair lift) for 20 CHF.

Took me about an hour, including stops to take photos and admire the view (I was alone on the trail). Highly recommend if you’re a beginner to VFs! Just consider first watching a YouTube video or two regarding safety on via ferratas. :)"

"The views are beautiful from this route. Easy to park and get the cable car up to the start of the Klettersteig. They take 5chf cash (1,2,or 5 chf denominations) for parking which you pay as you exit the lot. If you are doing both the k2 and k4 Klettersteig, I recommend doing the k4 first. It takes a bit more strength and is a bit exhausting. Afterward, it is nice to have time to relax and put your feet in the pond before heading back down."

Meli

"As a beginner in via Ferrata was few parts for me a bit challenging, but nothing what u can’t do, if u have equipment and stronger arms. Very nice trails, more wonderful views. Trails starting directly next to the cable car and beautiful lake. Recommended to go in early hours."
