What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Jungfraujoch for its awe-inspiring expanse of snow and ice, dramatic mountain views, and the unforgettable experience of being at the 'Top of Europe.' The pristine landscape and crisp alpine air are frequently highlighted as magical. However, the high cost of tickets is a significant drawback for many, and some find the plateau itself less engaging after visiting other attractions.
"The Jungfraujoch Plateau offers an awe‑inspiring expanse of snow and ice with dramatic mountain views in every direction. Crisp, high‑altitude air and pristine landscape made it unforgettable. Well-maintained and serene—it’s pure alpine magic."
Abdelmonem Jamal
"Amazing experience to literally walk on the top of the Alps. It is windy and very slippery and icy out there, so come prepared for the cold, even if it’s summer! The view is spectacular and the opportunity of a lifetime to walk ( or slide) on the plateau. At times the white snowy mist makes it hard to discern where the plateau ends and a drop behind. You can see people trying to hike up the ridged mountains! An incredible experience! Also be prepared if the altitude may make you feel a bit breathless, just stay hydrated, try to gulp in some fresh air and take a bite of something with sugar. Amazing!"
Naomi Sprung
"Great experience gets here, top of Europe. Breathtaking views of snowy mountains and glaciers. Nice facilities (resto, souvenir shop, Europe's highest railway station). You must prepare the suitable costume before here because of the cold temperature."

Be mindful of the cold and altitude. Dress children in extra warm layers, and keep an eye on them for any signs of altitude sickness. Bringing snacks and drinks can also be helpful. 💰 Budget Travelers
Consider packing your own snacks and drinks to avoid purchasing them at inflated prices at the top. While the experience is unique, weigh the cost against other activities in Switzerland if budget is a major concern. Some travelers suggest prioritizing other attractions if time is limited and budget is tight.
