What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Interlaken Ost station is a vital transport hub with stunning surrounding scenery, though some visitors report less-than-ideal customer service at ticket counters and limited luggage facilities. The train journeys themselves, particularly to Lauterbrunnen, are consistently praised for their beauty and efficiency.
"Everything in Interlaken is extremely beautiful. The station is not an exception too. This is the larger station of the two stations in Interlaken. Platform number 1 and 2 are used by trains to Grindelwald. The rest 6 platforms are used for intercity trains. The station has supermarkets attached to it."
Rudrabha Mukhopadhyay
"Stations in Switzerland aren’t that great, they don’t have lifts in a lot of their platforms and be aware if you are planning on leaving your luggage at the station they have limited space. The station people won’t be much help either. The only real great thing about this station is the scenery with surrounds it."
Iqtidar Ahmed
"I received horrible service at the train station ticket counter for asking a simple question of whether the platform number was correct for my electronic ticket. The amount of impatience, sarcasm and overall I’m better than you arrogant attitude of Swiss people is something I will remember from visiting this country. This and the overpriced bland food.
To the lady at the counter... maybe a little more humility and a little less sarcasm would serve you well.
Just terrible... to think I actually speak perfect English, imagine some other poor international travelers, I do not think they would have been helped at all with that attitude"
