A breathtaking hike that absolutely lives up to the hype! We took the gondola up from Kandersteg and followed the trail toward Oeschinensee. The walk was filled with alpine charm—lush forests, mountain streams, and panoramic views of the surrounding Bernese Alps. The lake itself is a jaw-dropping shade of turquoise, especially on a sunny day.
There are a few route options depending on your pace: we chose the full Panorama Loop Hiking Trails, which offers postcard-perfect scenes and fewer crowds. The trail is well-marked, moderately challenging, and well worth the effort. Solid hiking shoes are a must, and starting early helps avoid clouds covering the peaks later in the day."

"It's beautiful place, I did the panorama loop hike, clockwise. Apart from a 15ish min steep ascent at the beginning the rest was easy. For me the hike is worth much more on a clear day or perhaps with some low clouds/fog mixed with sun. With the sky fully covered with clouds the lake loses its vivid colours."
