What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Bisse du Ro's unique and thrilling suspension bridge and the scenic beauty of the ancient irrigation canals. The shaded trail is a plus for sunny days. However, the exposed nature of some paths makes it unsuitable for those with severe vertigo, and planning the return journey from the Tseuzier dam is essential.
"I enjoy walking to the suspension bridge and back, which usually takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes. It’s a flat, scenic hike—ideal for sunny days as the trail is shaded by plenty of trees. However, it’s not suitable for children, as certain parts of the path run alongside steep valley edges that can be hazardous."

"It's so great that the irrigation waterways, called bisse, created together by the local farmers in Wallis many centuries ago have now been partly turned into hiking paths. These are more or less difficult, in the case of the Ro it's easy to hike and you do not even need sticks to make it to the Tseuzier dam on the western side of the valley. The problem is you have to hike back if you came by car to the Ro parking or take a long bus ride back to Crans where you started."
