What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Flore-Alpe as a magnificent and outstanding alpine botanical garden, highlighting its exemplary layout, beautiful lake views, and unique carnivorous plant section. While some found it a pleasant, tranquil 30-minute visit with nice views, others recommend spending half a day to fully appreciate its diverse flora and photographic opportunities. The modest entrance fee is also frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.
"This is a magnificent garden of plants growing at high altitude, not only in Switzerland. Most interestingly, there is a section devoted to carnivore plants. The layout of this garden is exemplary and the view from the garden over the lake is beautiful. There is a separate parking for visitors which is only a few hundred meters away. The entrance fee, at least for older folks is very modest and you should spend at least half a day here. Unfortunately, I visited late in the season, end of August 2025, when flowers are scarce. However, there are still lots of insects sucking the nectar out of what is left of flowers so if you are into photography you have lots of discoveries to make."
