What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen for its modern exhibitions and insightful curation, with many appreciating the contemporary Swiss art on display. However, some find certain temporary exhibitions challenging to understand, and the small font size of signage is a recurring minor complaint.
"Sorry, but this is last place in my own ranking of best art museums. I ve been in more than 15 museums. Inside museum was very hot as well. But there were 3 good pictures."
Alexandr “Alex Shkolnik” Shkolnik
"Visit in April 2025: the temporary exhibition it's too hard for me to understand it as art. Else museum is ok - there are better things to do at St. Gallen..."
Christian Huber
"I really liked the curation of this museum!! The people who put it together really have an eye for finding the symbolism and meaning in the art. I really enjoyed my experience! However, I knocked off a star only because I think the signs next to the paintings are way too small. If you want to read them you have to go right up to them. This doesn’t sound important, but when you’re standing back to look at each painting or there are many people around, it gets a little annoying. Still definitely worth a visit! :)"
