"If love is this beautiful, who knows how much more beautiful is the Creator of love?
Shams of Tabriz was born in Tabriz in 1185. He received a sound religious education from an early age. A disciple of Abu Bakr Sallaf of Tabriz, Shams sought inspiration from all the renowned sheikhs he heard of and traveled extensively. Because of his wanderlust, he was nicknamed "Şemseddin Perende" (Flying Shamseddin). Furthermore, in Tabriz, the spiritual leaders and the wise men of truth called him "Kamil-i Tabrizi." Shams of Tabriz
Shams of Tabriz, who brought about significant changes in the spiritual world of Rumi, is one of Islam's greatest religious scholars.
Shams, who disregarded worldly matters and appearances, was instrumental in opening new horizons in Rumi's life through his three-year relationship with Rumi.
When Shams of Tabriz returned to Damascus, Rumi's absence was unbearable for him. Those who could not accept Shams's existence harassed Rumi. Rumi's response to one of these people is as follows:
"Before his light struck me, I was merely a dead engraving on your stone walls. Before he struck my strings with his bow, I was a dry rebab, always playing and singing the same tune, a voice foreign to his own. I see vineyards, gardens, and trees in his palm; I see waters as vast as seas, as clear as oceans. I rest in the shade of the trees that grow in his palm. But you see none of these."
Some time later, Shams returned to Konya at the invitation of Sultan Veled, son of Rumi. To prevent Rumi from leaving the city again, Rumi persuaded him to marry a girl. This girl was Kimya Hatun, an adopted daughter in Rumi's household. Rumi's youngest son, Alaeddin, who was secretly in love with Kimya Hatun, could not accept this situation and began to side with Shams's opponents.
It is not known for certain whether Shams was killed by those unable to accept the profound change that had taken place in Rumi, or whether he left Konya as quickly as he arrived, without informing anyone.
The Kesikbaş Tomb in Niğde is attributed to Shams. Additionally, there are Shams' tombs or shrines in the cemetery called "Geçil" in Tabriz, in the same region in Hoy, and in Multon, Pakistan. These are adorned with various accounts. According to Pakistani accounts, Shams secretly left Konya in the middle of the night, moved to the city of Hoy, and settled there.
According to legend, Shams of Tabriz died in Hoy and was buried there. His tomb has been nominated for a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. According to another account, Alaeddin, the younger son of Rumi, was among those who killed Shams. Shams' tomb in Konya is small, modest, and virtually hidden.
May God have mercy on him..."

"The park contains the Shams-i Tabrizi tomb and mosque. An attempt was made to create a unique concept by filling the green spaces with colorful stones, but children playing in the park scattered stones, creating a disturbing appearance. The park is well-maintained and clean. You can sit comfortably due to the police security checkpoint. It is very crowded and noisy day and night."

"It has few seats but is well-maintained. Inside is a mosque and the tomb of Shams Tabrizi."
