"The hotel is located in the best part of the city - Galata/Pera - which is exactly why I initially chose it.

The interior is very refined and thoughtfully designed, the location is excellent, and the room had all the necessary amenities. However, what deserves special mention is the level of service.

The front desk team, especially Mr Samet and Mr Avni, were incredibly helpful, polite, and professional. They kindly assisted me in changing my room to one with a better city view, and this experience alone completely changed my stay.

It inspired me to extend my visit and stay for four additional nights instead of the single night originally planned - which I happily rebooked.

This kind of attentive, thoughtful service makes a real difference and is exactly what turns a good hotel into a place you want to return to."

"This fell short of every expectation we’d had for this hotel — which is especially disappointing considering how wonderful our other three hotel experiences were throughout our ten-night stay across Turkey.

For our final night in Istanbul, we wanted to be near Beyoğlu, a neighborhood we loved on our first night, so we booked the Adahan DeCamondo Pera, a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. Upon arrival, we were shown to our room, which was beautiful, but where the fridge and telephone were both not working. A technician came twice to try to fix them, but neither issue was ever resolved. Not a huge deal, and the staff stayed in touch via WhatsApp, which was appreciated.

Things went downhill from there. We ordered food to the room, and it turned out to be the worst quality room service food we’ve ever had — surprising for a hotel claiming five-star status. Still, we brushed it off.

The real problem was the late night noise. The hotel sits on a very busy street, and while the building itself is beautiful and historic, the old windows do little to block out sound. The music from nearby venues and street noise were unbelievably loud — with a DJ in what sounded like the room next door, and shouting continuing until 4 AM. We live in a major city and are used to city sounds, but this was beyond anything reasonable and made it impossible to sleep before our early flight.

When we mentioned all this to the front desk, they told us there was nothing they could do since our stay was prepaid.

I honestly don’t understand how this property is rated so highly or carries a “five-star” designation given these issues. There are countless other incredible hotels in the area that offer far better quality and comfort. If you have the choice, stay somewhere else."

"Tastefully decorated hotel in the heart of Istanbul. This hotel is however not up to it‘s 5 star standard.
The entire building smelled like a mixture of perfume and cigarette smoke. Our room The staff was constantly smoking underneath our window and ad the windows are old and not well isolated, our room smelled of cigarette smoke all the time, which was pretty disgusting. The breakfast was not very good. We were giving mezze like plates every morning, wothout being asked if we eat meat or what we would like. The fremch toast I ordered tasted like it was fried in old fat. Service in the restaurant was friendly and attentive. Stunning views over the city from the rooftop restaurant."
