Visitors find Alexandria Troas to be an impressive and historically significant ancient site, especially given its free entry and ample parking. The ongoing excavations add an element of discovery, though some note that certain areas are restricted or less developed. It's highly recommended for history buffs and those visiting nearby attractions like Troy.

"It is free to enter and there is free parking available nearby. They have a few cool ruins and its not a far drive from Troy so if youre in the area I highly recommend. Theres also an arch about a 2 min drive away"

Phil Jakacki

"The site is free to access and if you bring your hiking boots you can spent a nice afternoon exploring the ruins. Excavations are still ongoing and some parts are harder to find than others. Any fan of ancient history will have fun wandering through olive groves full of pottery shards to find the Roman baths, the forum, theater, ancient port, and so on.
And if you have space in your backpack maybe bring some food for the very friendly stray dogs."

Sab Ri

"Smaller but impressive digs than Ephesus but cool to also visit the old harbour, now mostly gone, where the Apostle Paul sailed from and to. Nice little harbour shops"
