"Myrelaion church, 10th century, still standing in the middle of a shopping district. Not so interesting from the insde. It's in front of Grand Marcello Hotel on a small street parallel to the big street (Ordu Cd) when starts sloping down, turn left on Aksaray
Cd (towards the sea), walk a few steps until you see large stairs on the left side between the shops and the hotel on top of them. Up the stairs and you'll see the minaret."

"An amazing historical structure which is; unfortunately, hidden/not visible due to the modern world's tall buildings, so one needs to know and look for it around the busy streets of Laleli. I think its beautifully preserved until todsy especially with the hatd work of current priest (Mustafa hoca). There are some places as seen in the photo that need restoration. Beautiful, this should be on your list if you are a local/international wanderer. 😉"
