What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Haçka Plateau is praised for its magnificent natural beauty and serene atmosphere, making it a great escape. Visitors appreciate the connection to Kayabaşı Highlands and the availability of picnic spots. However, some travelers noted hygiene issues during festivals and challenging road conditions, especially in foggy weather.
"Great place to escape to from the city, with amazing scenery and little roads throughout the small villages. And connected to kayabasi highlands with good road and 10 minutes drive. There are few restaurants as well. Worth the trip. My advice if you want to get there is to go through Duzkoy and then take road from there. Don’t take the kayabsi exit before Duzkoy coz that road is awful."

"It's an hour from Akçaabat, and the road is good, provided it's not foggy, of course. Around the mosque are pergolas and picnic and barbecue areas. Just behind the mosque is a small park and a small flat area. For lunch, we went to the Zirve Restaurant on the Gürgendağ Plateau, which is very close by and takes about 10 minutes. There, we had 3 kilos of lamb chops, 1 kilo of boneless lamb, and three salads, and we paid 5,250. We were pleased with the taste, but if you're looking for something more filling, I recommend choosing boneless chops instead of chops. The staff were very attentive. The only problem was the lack of tea."
