What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Karacabey Çifte Hamam for its beautiful historic architecture and the deeply cleansing traditional kese scrub. The staff are often described as helpful, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. However, some guests have found the sauna temperature lacking and have experienced uncomfortable pressure regarding tips at the end of their visit.
"The general pricing seemed fair here, and is written on entrance... in Turkish... essentially 430 for entrance and 200 for scrub, you can pay for bath with card.
Sauna not very warm, but the space is historic and relaxing, and whilst massage seemed to lack much knowledge, it was also fine.
I mostly would recommend this place.
There was a request for baksheesh/ tip at the end, but I just politely ignored this and left.
Best of a bad bunch."

"A very nice historical hamam!
There’s a carpark at the back (no prices but you’re expected to pay).
Inside there’s an open area, off which are several lockable changing rooms. You undress, and proceed with a thin cotton towel into the hamam proper. There’s a main area with showers, marble tables for a kese, then two side rooms, and a sauna.
I had a very nice kese from one of the “tellak” and felt (as you would) super clean afterwards…the tellak guys are very helpful and just guide you through everything.
After you’re all done, there are further changing areas within the main hamam, at which you now abandon your wet cotton towel, and wrap yourself in a new dry one, to exit. On exit, you’re wrapped in more towels and can just sit in the main area and enjoy a drink of ayran & soda.
Costs:
Entrance 400 (can pay by card)
Kese 200 (in cash to whoever did your massage)
Parking 100"

"Everything was perfect until they started begging and pressuring me for tips. I tipped the scrub guy 100% of the price and his face said it was not enough. Then the other guy asked for a tip. I ended up leaving as stressed as I arrived."
