""Abdullatif Mosque / Latifiye Mosque - Mardin
It is in the south of the Republic Area. In 1371, it was built by Abdüllatif bin Abdullah, who served during the reign of Artuqid sultans Melik Salih and Melik Muzaffer, and its minaret was built by the Egyptian Governor Muhammed Ziya Tayyar Pasha. The present minaret was built in 1845 by the Governor of Mosul, Gürcü Mehmet Pasha. The portal of the transverse rectangular planned structure with a dome in front of the mihrab, which is one of the last Artuqid works in Mardin, is well preserved. Geometric motifs, braided and starry decorations draw attention on the three-slice arched portal made of two-colored stones. The entrance doors of the mosque, the minbar and the mahfil, which are unique examples of late Seljuk woodwork, are worth seeing."
