Reviews Summary

Hikers praise the Leleg Trail for its beautiful scenery, historical significance, and well-marked paths. It's a great way to experience the natural beauty and ancient past of Bodrum. Some sections can be overgrown or challenging, requiring proper gear and preparation. Reddit

"We did sections of the trail starting at Dagbelen. There are 3km, 5km, 9km trails to choose from. The loop trail (approx 3km) back into the village, has some hairy moments where the trail actually continues past a barbwire fence onto a narrow and rocky donkey path. The last quarter of the trail, pre season the path is overgrown with thorny raspberry bushes for about 500 meter long. Wear long sleeves and long trousers with durable cotton is best, bring along with some drinking water and some cutters.

Good walking shoes with ankle support is a must and keep to the trail markers.

The other trail towards pedasa is interrupted by building works just after the sarnıç (red/white markers). To the left of the cemetery just before the sarnıç, there are red/yellow markers for going up and along the mountain range. For this point to point (pedasa) you will need to arrange transport back to where your car is parked. No public transport.

The month of April is a perfect time for hiking. The scenery is in bloom and the weather is pleasant."

"This was a fine trail - although this trail head mark is not representative of where the trail begins or passes through town - definitely google for that!

We also initially hiked down a large unmarked portion of the trail, and only eventually realized that it was not the trail. Once we found it, it was quite well marked with red and white bars."

"Nature... coolness... views... nothing else matters..."
