"It says 800 BC. It's an Urartian artifact...so it's almost 2825 years old...they lit fires at its base and made picnics and beer garbage...shame on them...it's been forgotten for centuries, looking down at us from that hill."

"Yes, there's such a gate here, and it's a beautiful structure, but the area where it's located isn't exactly a tourist attraction. It would be difficult to even get near it. We drove up and looked at it from below before turning back. If you go to the Van Museum, you can read about its history and see a life-size replica."
