"The date is 675 AD, during the reign of Caliph Omar ibn Abdulaziz. The Islamic army besieged Istanbul to fulfill the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) promise of the "Conquest of Constantinople."

To support this siege, Sayyid Ibrahim Bilal, descendant of Imam Hussein (may Allah be pleased with him), grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and a descendant of Imam Hussein (may Allah be pleased with him), set out from Khorasan with Turkish volunteers renowned for their military achievements. His ship was caught in a fierce storm in the Black Sea. After struggling for days with the Black Sea's raging waves and not yet accustomed to the sea, Sayyid Ibrahim Bilal and the Alperens were forced to anchor in Sinop Harbor, hungry, thirsty, and exhausted. They paid their taxes according to the prevailing conditions and obtained accommodation from the Tekfur of Sinop. Sayyid Ibrahim Bilal retired to rest with his tired and sick soldiers.

Although the Tekfur of Sinop initially granted permission, he reversed his decision and launched a treacherous night raid. Many Alperens were martyred in heroic fighting near the present-day Alaaddin Mosque, built by Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat after the city fell to the Seljuks. Surrounded by the Tekfur and his soldiers, Seyyid İbrahim Bilal attempted to break through the enemy. As they were fighting to exit the square gate in the neighborhood where the Government House stands today, at the fiercest moment of the battle, a sword strike from the Tekfur severed his blessed head, just as his ancestor, Imam Hussein, had been in Karbala, and he fell to the ground. He immediately took his severed head under his arm and fought his way to the spot where his tomb now stands, a distance of approximately 700-800 meters. He placed his head carefully on the ground, and he himself lay down, facing the qibla as if he had never been beheaded, there entrusting his soul to the Mercy of the Most Merciful. This tragic event was watched with astonishment by the people present.

Observing this apparent miracle, Tekfur immediately stopped the fighting, regretted killing such a great figure, treated the wounded Muslims kindly, and allowed the martyrs to be buried according to Islamic tradition. Be sure to visit."
