Embrace the Pebbles

Taşlık Beach is known for its smooth pebbles, not sand. While beautiful, they can be a bit tricky underfoot. Consider water shoes for comfort, especially around the rocky areas near the stairs. The water depth increases very gradually, making it ideal for families with young children.

Cafe Culture & Sunbeds

Most of the beach is lined with cafes that offer free sunbeds in exchange for ordering drinks or food. This is a common practice in Turkey, so expect to patronize a cafe. Many now have QR codes for easy menu access, simplifying your order.

Reviews Summary

Taşlık Beach is lauded for its beautiful, clear waters and the unique charm of its pebble shore. Visitors appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and the convenience of free sunbeds offered by beachfront cafes, though this requires purchasing food or drinks. While some find the pebbles less comfortable than sand, the gradual water depth makes it ideal for families.

"It is one of the most beautiful sea fronts in Turkey. Datça will give other more well-known towns a run for their money. There are plenty of shops and bars. Quite quiet at the start of June, but we were virtually the only tourists in the area! A truly wonderful Turkish experience. Datça does get extremely busy as the season goes on but retains its Turkishness more so than Marmaris or Dalaman."

"Nice beach watch out for slippery rock around stairs. Clean beach. Feels warmer than the other ones nearby. No sand, lots of small rocks. Dog also likes to swim here"
